Four California Lottery players score jackpots totaling $9 million playing scratcher games

According to a California State Lottery press release, lottery players are scoring big jackpots playing the newest scratcher games. In fact, four recent winners have won a total of $9 million in just the last month alone.

The four lucky players are Pamela Adelamini, Robert Gage, Rudy Mendoza, and Prince Chand. These players come from all around the Golden State and are all now instant millionaires.

Adelamini won a cool $5 million with a Premier 7s scratch-off ticket. The winning ticket was purchased at a Ralphs grocery store in Los Angeles County. See the map below for the location where the winning ticket was sold.

The Premier 7s Scratcher Game has plenty of opportunities for prize winners. While the top prize is $5 million, there are also chances to win anything from a free ticket valued at $20 all the way up to $2,500. As of this writing, four of the five jackpot prizes worth $5 million have already been claimed. That leaves one more $5 million prize up for grabs.

Would a prize worth $2 million make your day?

That’s a fun question to ask! And if you’d like an answer, you might ask Robert Gage. That’s because the California Lottery reports Gage is the winner of a $2 million prize from the Instant Prize Crossword scratchers game.

Gage purchased his ticket in Kern County at lottery retailer Sunny View Gas Stop. If you’re a fan of this game, then you’ll be happy to know that there are still 15 jackpot prizes worth $2,000,000 each left to be claimed. There are 37 prizes worth $25,000 each still up for grabs.

Even $1,000,000 is a great prize!

You can add Rudy Mendoza and Prince Chand to the list of newly minted millionaires. Both won $1,000,000 each playing different scratcher games.

The Diamond 8’s Scratchers game proved lucky for Mendoza. Meanwhile, Chand scored a million bucks with a Perfect Gift! Scratchers ticket. This last game has five tickets worth $1,000,000 each that have yet to be claimed. Each ticket costs $10 and the odds of winning a cash prize are 1 in 4.11.

Not a winner? Try a second chance instead

Unfortunately, most people will not win a large cash prize. In fact, most people don’t win anything at all playing the lottery. However, the California State Lottery does offer a second chance to win a prize through its second chance drawings.

To participate, you’ll need to enter your non-winning tickets into a second chance drawing run by the California Lottery. If you are a scratcher player, you might win up to $25,000 in one of their weekly drawings.

You’ll get one entry per $1.00 you spend on each of your non-winning tickets. For example, if you have a losing ticket that you paid $10 for, you’ll receive 10 entries into the second chance drawing. For details, be sure to check out the California Lottery’s second chance drawing page.
